Willacy County Drainage District No. 2 has no employees and no General Manager.
Willacy County Drainage District No. 1 performs the cleaning, general maintenance, and repair of Willacy County Drainage District No. 2’s drainage system pursuant to a contractual agreement.

The District was created by the Texas Legislature in 1969
University Name
Acts 1969, 61st Leg., ch. 10, pg 22, effective March 11, 1969. The first meeting of the Board of the Board of Directors [then Supervisors] was held on March 26, 1969. Creation of the District was confirmed by election held on May 24, 1969
