EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN

AND UPDATES

Willacy County Drainage District No. 2's Action Plan involves the following steps:

In the event of a major hurricane, storm, or drain related emergency

1. In collaboration with other water districts: our team first restricts the flow of water into Willacy County Drainage District No. 2's established main drain.

2. Pumping Stations: Pump stations are responsible for moving water from one location to another, pumps push water more quickly throughout the main drain. Our team operates the pump for as long as it is necessary and depending on the volume of water.

3. Our administrative team reaches out to the community, is available to assist with questions or concerns, as well as providing the community with the necessary information to contact the proper entities and authorities, all the while extending our support to those most impacted by these serious flood emergencies.

Our team is committed to the safety and needs of our community. We remain steadfast during the bad times and challenges.
